Handwoven in Montville, Maine, this beautiful small towel is a pleasure to touch. Its multi-colored buffalo check pattern is vibrant and eye-catching enough that some may want to take this household essential on the road - stashing it in a back pocket while on the trails or making clever use out of a scarf pin to wear around the neck.
Soft and lovely, absorbent and durable, it will endure many years of use. Thread colors are red, blue, black, olive green, and sky blue.
Include it in a gift for a loved one, perhaps tucking it into a piece of Maine made pottery by any one of the talented artists we showcase.
- Measures 11.5" x 24"

Located in the rural community of Montville, Maine, farm&hearth textiles is a small weaving studio focused on sustainable craft.
Laura Matthews, the owner and head weaver, has over ten years of weaving experience, including expertise in textile design and studio management.
Much of their production involves creating custom work for small farms and families with flocks of sheep in the greater Montville area. Thus, farm&hearth helps sustain the traditional livelihoods and heritage crafts of northern New England.
From the artist: “We are passionate about revitalizing high quality and beautifully curated products in our local communities, as well as educating about historic craft, and fiber and textile art.”
