A tower of blocks, an ancient totem, or the remnants of a tattered quilt are among many conclusions as to the story of these ambling silver forms. Christine Peters layers cut squares and rectangles, dotted with bright silver baubles, to create a timeless and unique pendant that easily works for everyday wear.
- Pendant measures 1.5" x .5"
- Sterling silver
Inspired by the nature around her, Christine Peters has been creating one of a kind jewelry pieces since 1996, soon after she moved to Maine. She was originally trained in sculpture at Boston University, working in stone, clay, and steel.
Shifting to jewelry was a practical decision, which allows her to pursue her artistic creations with a bench and a torch, rather than needing a large studio. She received further training with Maine College of Art, Metalwerx, Haystack, and privately with several Maine jewelers. Now, she maintains a home studio where she works to consistently push her metalwork and design sense to new levels.
From the Artist:
Everything motivates me to create: a winter sunset, a branch, a bug, a tiny flower, the all-powerful sea. I am so fortunate to do what I love.
