A solid and stable base will allow foliage to spring forth with no worry of toppling a special arrangement. The hardiness of design in this minimalist handmade ceramic vase is softened by a simple curve; which emanates from its base and tapers to its crown. 

A dark cocoa glaze occupies some space between warm and cool, while a lighter earthenware shade of natural clay is left revealed in transparency acting as a design element designating its name as two-tone.

Slow Studio is a time and place inhabited by ceramic artist Natania Hume to translate her experience with nature into something tangible. Her designs evolve from a connection with clay as a material as well as inspiration found recreating near her home in rural Vermont.

Purity of form and simplicity of function are complimented by the artist's innate talent for achieving balance and expressing texture.
