The bold style of 18th and 19th century artisans comes through in his works and is a tribute to his heritage. Birds, fish, and other animals are customarily featured in folk art, and Dan’s work is no different. Broad-winged eagles and delicate song birds in twig trees, creatures both wild and domestic. His work is whimsical in its simple and familiar forms.

A self taught artist, Dan began working with wood in 1969 while still living in his original home state of Pennsylvania.
