Handmade in Monroe, Maine by Marley Wilkinson, these stockings are sewn from duck canvas, a rugged and durable material that will stand the test of time.

A hand painted design in bold colors can be matched to the personality of the nauti-cal or nice person who gets to reach inside for goodies. Adopt a holiday set for the whole family and they will surely be treasured for generations to come.

Cobalt Sky Studio, founded by Marley Wilkinson in 2008, is located in an old farmhouse in Monroe, Maine.

Born in Maryland, Wilkinson fell in love with Maine when she was 18 years old and her then boyfriend, now spouse, first brought her to his family cottage in Pemaquid. Wilkinson and her family have lived in the Pine Tree State for over 13 years.

Maine is the leading muse for Wilkinson. She uses sailcloth, duck canvas, authentic buoy mooring line, and waxed sail thread to create her signature buoy pillows, buoy ornaments, and canvas stockings. Her first few pillows were made out of some extra awning material a friend gave her. 2018 marks her 10th year in business.

Inspired by the many buoys in Pemaquid Harbor, our products begin at that magical place where the sea meets the sky. Maine and its network of makers have taught me to be independent, stand for quality, and, above all, to persevere. Just like my work, I use each day as a fresh canvas, knowing tomorrow will always bring something beautiful and unexpected.
