Cabana stripes served up Maine-style...vibrant and bright, bold and whimsical. It really could be every day that your morning mug puts a smile on your face.
Each broad porcelain mug wears confident and chunky brush strokes, which repeat and make stripes in yellow, blue, or red. Primary colors? More please!
There is an element of transparency in each glaze application that reveals a painterly element. So this practical vessel offers 'the hand of the artist' at your fingertips.
Use for soups, warm beverages, ice cream, and more.

We met Alice Nasto when she attended a sgraffito workshop hosted by fellow artist Tim Christensen. It was a "come clay with me" moment that brought her to the barn, and we will always be grateful for her attendance.
Alice's time spent with craft traditions is not limited to ceramics. She has a background in fiber arts, which is apparent if you see her around town in the gorgeous quilted jacket she made.
Her family in Midcoast has grown, and she has established a beautiful studio in Bremen complete with ceramic forms and a large papier-mache sculpture.
Her studio is a blank canvas of creating space, full of color blocks in doodle shapes expressed in ceramic forms. What possibly pops most is her unique self-formulated cobalt blue glaze. It is a favorite of ours and has become somewhat of a signature for the artist.
