I was an honored “artist-at-sea” with the Schmidt Ocean Institute. During the two week journey across this vast and deep section of the equatorial Pacific, my job was to create ways of communicating the current scientific research and deep-sea mapping technologies aboard the R\/V Falkor. But in addition, I could not help be overwhelmed but the astounding power and beauty and scale of the open ocean. Molly has worked in environmental and art education for organizations, universities, and schools across the country.
